A Thought to Start Your Day

Whatever we learn has a purpose and whatever we do affects everything and everyone else, if even in the tiniest way. Why, when a housefly flaps his wings, a breeze goes round the world; when a speck of dust falls to the ground, the entire planet weighs a little more; and when you stamp your foot, the earth moves slightly off its course. Whenever you laugh, gladness spreads like the ripples in a pond; and whenever you're sad, no one anywhere can be really happy. And it's much the same thing with knowledge, for whenever you learn something new, the whole world becomes that much richer.

What else can I say, you've said it all very well, and it made me smile. Thank you Judy.

I like that quote, and I enjoyed reading the book a long time ago!

Beautiful photo of the duck, Judy!

The duck photo is lovely! The quote makes me nervous - particularly the consequences of stamping 'feet' .... translated into more threatening tumult.

Thanks for your comment about size and crispness. I found this works, i got it from google blogger help.

Not only do you change the width and the height to what you want but you have to change the /s 400/ in the bottom line to/s1600/ then you will get the same size as you uploaded them and just as crisp. (or else upload from an external site as you said)

Love the duck! I better go dust or I could put the entire planet in jeopardy!
Have a great day.

Funny how synchronous things are sometimes. I just finished looking at pictures of phone booths in the UK (on A Brit in TN) and then see this quote from Phantom Tollbooth. It's gonna be a boothy day!

The quote is a good reminder that everything has consequences.

I love the duck photo, I took a bunch @ the gardens in our capital and painted from them.

The quote reminds me of the movie the butterfly effect sort of?

"Whenever you laugh, gladness spreads like the ripples in a pond." I love that line - so poetic - and it matches your picture so well.
