The Farmers' Market Challenge - August Edition

Hello Everyone! Welcome to the Farmers' Market Challenge. Mister Linky is now OPEN!

The purpose of this challenge is to raise awareness for purchasing locally produced foods. Be it fruits, vegetables, dairy products or related items we want to know what's available where you live.

This is for everyone. If you have a Farmers' Market in your area we would like to see your photos. If you don't have a farmers' market how about a roadside produce stand? Or maybe you grow your own vegetables? Do you raise chickens or geese, do you use the eggs? We want to see your photos. The Challenge will be open all weekend so you still have time to post.

Participants may now sign in. You should have you photos and/or story posted on your blog before you sign in. You can link any and all of your farmers' market posts. Mister Linky is very easy to use, just follow the instructions. If you have any questions or problems my email address is on my profile.

Unfortunately it's pouring with rain here so my plans for new pictures fizzled. So I went to Plan B. LOL

We're linked and ready and looking forward to reading all the posts. Sorry, Sunny, to hear it's not sunny there but glad you had a Plan B! : ) Will be curious to see what that plan is.

Thanks, Squirrel Queen for doing this again. It's so much fun! And healthy, too. Good, healthy, clean fun.

This is a great idea and it goes a long way to getting the word out to help our local farmers. Thank you Squirrel Queen.

Sadly, Tropical Storm Danny has rained us out. But, no fear! I am always a treasure trove of local produce writings.... -kate

I love this! What a great idea! Since I live in Washington it's pretty overcast most of the time but the farmers market is there rain or shine!

I agree with Honeygo Beasley; Good, healthy, clean fun.

My post is up! Just got back from the market and all the pictures were taken today, except for Chele of the henna hand, taken last week!

Mine is up. I did not get around as much as I wanted to do but I used a few unseen pics from my trip to Austin's Farmer's Market and then I ran across a roadside in Johnson City.

I'm carrying my camera with me, though, and will be ready for the next challenge. This is a neat challenge, Judy.

Thanks for stopping by and your nice comments. I think another challenge in September would be fun. I'm not sure how late in the year our farmers' market runs. I will find out. We were pretty much rained out today!
Thank you for putting this challegne together.

Well, to me it's still Sunday (as I've not gone to bed yet) so officially I made it! I visited all the markets. I might pop back tomorrow to see if there's any late-comers.

Looking forward to September's. I hope I'll have pictures of gorgeous sweet potatoes for you! Thanks for hosting this. It is a worthwhile message.
