We don't accomplish anything in this world alone ... and whatever happens is the result of the whole tapestry of one's life and all the weaving of individual threads from one to another that creates something.
Oh I like that quote! It seems she is talking about the individual here, but it could also mean the interweaving of threads from other people with our own.
that is an excellent quote and so very very true. I, in fact, prefer to work with others. I love my team at here at the Aquarium. I'd go a little insane if I had no one to bounce ideas off of!
Being part of the invisible blogosphere has taught me that lesson, as I am now interconnected with all of you in a way that I didn't even know was possible until recently. And it certainly has changed my outlook tremendously.
Wonderful quote and photo. Another way of looking at it -
Look at yourself as part of a garden ~>
A flower grows better when planted in an area with other flowers. The roots of young seedlings are able to follow the pathways created by older flowers and implant themselves more deeply.
Over time, the roots of all the flowers may actually graft themselves to one another, creating an intricate, interdependent foundation hidden under the ground. In this way, stronger flowers share resources with weaker ones so that the whole garden becomes healthier.
In essense, we accomplish more when we work together!
Very thought provoking blog, my friend! Thank you for sharing your insight!
True enough, like blogging. . .we bloggers wont be motivated to compose a blog, if we know that nobody pushes us to go for it. . .and that's our readers! And because of our followers we are one big happy blogland!
Lovely picture and lovely words. How true we all weave together to make the fabric of life. It is a shame that some people can't do it in a positive fashion.
When I did the bee shot, I knew someone else had made a study of it and, forgot, alas, to say it was you! Like Virginia Woolf said, there is no Beethoven but there will always be his music! But, we are alive and like to get the credit..... Look forward to Saturday's farmers' market!

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.

So true. I often reflect on people that have shaped me, for better or worse, into the person that I am.
Does that mean that if you blog alone and nobody sees it, you never really posted? A take on a tree falling in the forest...

A good quote. Sometimes all the weaving we do can't work if there are too many people weaving different ideas.
Wonderful quote and photo.
