Farmers' Market Challenge, A Thank You and a Question

The Farmers' Market Challenge was a great success, thanks to all of you who took part it became a worldwide event. To each and every one of you who participated a big Thank You!

From large public markets to backyard gardens we saw an abundance of fruits, vegetable, honey, breads, meat, eggs, and so much more. We learned that we can raise our own herbs and vegetables or support our local farmers by buying their products.

Now, I have a question for you. Would you like to do this one more time this year? Possibly late September or early October?

Well for me that's okay, so I can have more time preparing for it, but holding it once a month is still okay with me.

And may I ask what you mean by one more time this year? I hope it will not be the last time this year.

I really liked all the market photos. I hope you do this again. I wish I had been able to participate but the economy really made our market nosedive. I think another in the fall sounds great.

I think that my passion for the sights and smells of farmers markets and state fairs are somehow baked into my DNA. Thank you for getting me looking at the calendar - hopefully - to see how close we are to Sept/Oct!!

Sounds good to me! I didn't have a chance to participate in this last one. I hope to in the next one.

I think a Harvest Market would be a great idea, maybe in October? I really enjoyed seeing all the different markets, especially the most humble ones, because they are really coming from the grassroots.

It's weird that it's hotter right now over on the west side of the Cascades than you are having! It's supposed to be mid-nineties here in Bellingham today.

I like the idea of an autumn farmer's market; however, doing it once a month does allow for chronicling what is available month-to-month.

Don't you just hate it when someone straddles the fence? Whatever you decide is fine with me for I'll make it a point to visit a market at least once a month.

Sure! I loved visiting all the different markets. There was so much variety. (Although, they all put my little town to shame...)
