The purpose of this challenge is to raise awareness for purchasing locally produced foods. Be it fruits, vegetables, dairy products or related items we want to know what's available where you live.
This is for everyone. If you have a Farmers' Market in your area we would like to see your photos. If you don't have a farmers' market how about a roadside produce stand? Or maybe you grow your own vegetables? Do you raise chickens or geese, do you use the eggs? We want to see your photos. The Challenge will be open all weekend so you still have time to post.
Participants may now sign in. You should have you photos and/or story posted on your blog before you sign in. You can link any and all of your farmers' market posts. Mr. Linky is very easy to use, just follow the instructions. If you have any questions or problems my email address is on my profile.

My post is set for tomorrow. Small FM in Ellington Ct.Come over today and leave your link on my weekend linky.
Here's the Bellingham Fairhaven Market, held every Wednesday from noon to five at the Village Green.
Thanks for coming up with this idea. I've been talking about going to the Austin market but would make an excuse.
Posted some of my herbs from my backyard garden. :)
I had a two-parter and, since it wasn't a current post, I added links for each part.
I love the Farmers Market Challenge. I am having trouble going out because of my back injury. I am going to try tomorrow. I can already taste the fresh tomatoes and vegetables. The fresh baked bread and jams are making my mouth water. Of course the flowers. I have seen the most beautiful flowers at ours, sunflowers in colors I didn't even know they had. I am hoping, but if I don't make it, I love checking out all the participants.
Thanks Anne

Judy, I'm sorry that I forgot to link back to your site. I've corrected that error. :D
I've been waiting for about two weeks to put these photos up. I was too excited and forgot to do the link.
Come one, come all to our site, too. We enjoy this challenge very much!
We never had a "farmer's market" but when I lived on the fringes of the city I always bought local vegies and milk straight from the milking shed. I moved into an urban area and God I miss that fresh stuff.

Hi SQ! I posted some pictures from my local Farmer's Market. Thanks for the challenge!
What a fantastic theme and challenge.
Not only was it fun but it also reminded me just how wonderful Farmer's Markets and little roadside stands can be. I always enjoy visiting them. You can't beat the taste of homegrown fruit and vegetables (in my opinion).
Wonderful turnout! I forgot to go back and put the link to your post... senior moment. Oh well, I had fun going to all blogs looking at the wonderful markets and farms. Surely there is a big market somewhere within driving distance of our house. I may post a picture of our farmer's market just for giggles. How sad is that?
Strange... now I'm in the mood for soup!
I bought the seasons first sweet corn at our Kingfield market today.
Ours is a small FM. But we always have fun visiting there. They have different vendors every week.
Very late ,sorry about that but mine is up now.
fun! I wish I had time to participate. I took some photos at a farmer's Market yesterday in the mid-afternoon--not so good. It had been raining and farmers were leaving.
I plan to go to a local organic farm this week to pick up produce. I blogged about this farm back in March.
AND, I AM growing some vegetables, lettuces, and herbs in my yard and in pots on my deck.
I'll be back later to check out everyone's posts.
