Close Encounters of the Bee Kind

Most of you know I am sort of into bees for my photos. One day it might be a honey bee and the next it's the little tiny bees that are around and I try to get photos of them.

Bees are not the best of subjects as they move very fast and rarely seem to come to rest for any length of time. Many of my photos are blurry or the bee will take off just as I trip the shutter leaving me with nothing.

The little guy above just did not want to land, I was trying to get some photos of him in flight so it would not be a total loss. The one above is one of the better photos but not really that good.

While I was chasing himI felt something on my arm and looked down, just as I looked the little guy flew down and landed on my leg. He then sat there long enough for me to take several photos.

Maybe if wait they will get curious and come to me.

Excellent. Great close-up. Good thing he wasn't in the mood to sting anyone.

Yes, sometimes it's best to let others do the running around.

The detail is amazing. I bet the bees love you for sharing such great photos to the world. They take turns coming for a coveted photo shoot at Judy's.

Great pictures. I love to see closeups of bees. They're one of my favorite little creatures to watch. The one in the sky is good because its so hard to get one like that. I love the detail on the second one.
