But before you look at the photos she has a question for you. What do a ladybug's wings look like? Think about it!

Five little ladybugs climbing up a door
Four little ladybugs sitting on a tree
Three Little ladybugs landed on a shoe
Two little ladybugs looking for some fun
One little ladybug sitting in the sun
The elytra is a hard wing cover which protects the fragile wings.

Hello Miss Cindy, hmm you're looking so fabulous. Have you met Prudence...the cat which goes around often, we'll AL has given her a name, she's been good lately and I think and hope we will be good friends.
Oh the wings...it looks like a slice of watermelon. Hahaha. Do you like ladybugs? I see AL's pouch bug with the ladybug design and it's cute.

Great shots especially the wings. Good girl Cindy Lou for not eating the ladybug.
I sure do like Cindy Lou's pick of the week. Your Ladybug photos are beautiful. I just love to see ladybugs in my garden, they eat all the pesky pest...
I'll admit, I've seen a ladybug fly and I've seen the real wings, but I still pictured the top speckled covering when the question was posed.
Lovely pictures of the ladybug.
These look really great. I've always loved ladybirds, but never knew that about their wings.
SQ: My answer would have been the clear wings under the cover. You got a photo, how cool is that.
very cool pics.I ordered 4,500 landbugs for my garden, they hung out for a few days then all took off. But it was nice while i had them literally crawling up the shed and flying around the yard!

Miss Cindy Lou Who is so adorable and the macro photos of the ladybug is fanatastic - great capture.
I can just imagine Miss Cindy Lou Who sitting watching the ladybug fkuttering around. What a wonderful sight that would be.
I hope you and your precious fur-baby have a great day!
That was very entertaining and educational. Happy Birthday a bit early. I did not remember that wings looked like that. You took some wonderful photos. Thanks for stopping by.
Miss Cindi, that is a perfect choice and by the way you have incredible eyes. licks and sniffs, Sasha

I have never seen a picture of a ladybug with her wings spread! I live such a sheltered life. Miss C, you did good!
Oh, yeah... It fixed my problems. Thanks!
Aw lady bugs are so lovely!
Nice series. You even got one with the wings open. Sweet!
OMG what wonderful shots! To be able to photograph those ladybug wings is awesome. Well done. Your kitty is a beauty also. =)
These are wonderful shots. Excellent choices.
I, too, am in awe of you. I was just telling MzzLily that. These shots are superb especially the one with it's wings open. I'd never thought about the make up of a lady bugs wings before either. Miss Cindy Lou Who is one smart little girl. Purrrrrfect pick.
Hugzzz to both of you.
Oh, lovely picture of Miss CLW, too.
Oh thank you, Miss Cindy Lou Who! Those ladybug photos are fabulous!
I love this post! Lady bugs are so cute and that last picture is incredible!

Gorgeous pictures. My son was outside today trying to catch ladybugs.
How perfect to catch that ladybug photo with the wings open! Those are the shots I always miss! I'm glad you caught it!
I love ladybugs, too, well at least the "nice" ones. A few years ago a different species came in that could bite and they had more spots on them. They definitely were NOT the ladybugs from my childhood!
Great photos - especially the one with the wings open.
