I found this old photo from the Alaska days and thought you might find it interesting. This is an oil rig, not in use, but being stored. It was anchored in Resurrection Bay near Seward, Alaska.
I'm a weirdo. I love the architecture of the rig! But, being early as it is, I can visualize opening my door and breathing in the crisp, salty air. Ahhh... Who needs coffee?

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.

The backround scenery is incredible. Great picture.

I agree, the scenery is incredible
MzzLily,
I agree, and the architecture against the mountains is a striking picture. Very crisp and salty air.
Anne,
Those mountains around Seward are so beautiful.
Jase,
Alaska is indeed incredible.
