Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. TS Eliot
Whoa .... that was way better than my morning cup of coffee! This one really gave me a kick in the ol' tail! This is so true too. In my younger years, I prided myself on being a spectator ... oh the regrets. BUT, I did learn alot from them. Good one SQ!
lol to the comment about gps, although it isn't always dependable.
i think that quote is sooo true. once people reach a certain level they get too comfortable and don't want to take anymore risks in fear of failure or losing everything, but sometimes that risk is so worth it. i think it's better to risk everything and lose it then to wonder for the rest of your life what would have happened.
An excellent mini-manifesto! Suitable for all who desire to lead and blaze a trail of courage. I know we're forced to sometimes go into uncharted territories -- life is like that -- but it is exhilarating when you set your own course, stick to it, and keep going. Thanks for the inspiration today!
My kids have always said I"m the rebel without a cause, does this mean I'm on my own path? Seriously change is life, life is change, I hope if I'm on my path to stick to it and if not to find it.

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.

How very true. People have been satisfied with conformity for way too long. How do we expect to thrive if we don't tread new paths?

bxn,
very true, we can't be afraid to step off the path. My husband accuses me of doing it all the time.
Christine,
Thanks, hope your tail will be ok.
MzzLily,
Amen
Nita,
Yep, the gps is only as good as the sattlite.
If we don't take chances how can we grow? I like the way you put it.
Sunflower Ranch,
All very true, sometimes it can just be a little step, and when you succeed maybe that will lead to a bigger step.
TC,
Yep, that's what it sounds like to me. Change is good, I been changing on a regular basis for most of my adult life.

I wonder if T.S. Elliot was inspired by the poem "A Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost?
