Great tribute. A girl @ work said the new generation wouldn't celebrate memorial day. I didn't tell her that's what every generation thinks for awhile, then it becomes important.

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.

great tribute!
What a splendid tribute! This is indeed a time to pause and pay tribute to our history!
Btw, thanks for the comment on my blog and if there are any confusion (I guess I am the one who is lol)
Anyway I forgot to add a linky love on the post where you were my first commenter. It's there now though. :-)

What better way to honor those who gave their lives for our country than to simply remember.
Beautiful and simple, just perfect as always.
I love coming to visit Squirrel.
