You can freeze a bee, tie some string to it and it will wake up and you'll have a bee on a string. Approx 8 mins is the freezing time - yes I have done it. The bee doesn't get hurt.

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.

Great photo and cute rhyme. :D
awww that was cute
Too cute! We're overrun with those big ones that bore into the decks! Eek! I worry about our honey bees and tell the kids to protect them.

Lynn,
I ran across that little rhyme a while back and it just seemed to fit with the bee photo.
Nita,
Thanks, cute is good some days.
MzzLily,
That's the bad kind of bees. I love my honey bees, but trying to get one to pose is really difficult cause they are so busy.
Jase,
But how do you catch them to freeze without getting stung?
Michelle,
Thanks, and I agree with the eeek!
