Hi Libertine, I've been a city dweller and a country girl, strongly recommend the latter. This is actually an old photo from my camp director days in the southern US.
Christine, That one was just right place, right time. I lived in a large tent on a wooden platform and was sitting on the step watching the storm. My SLR was within reach and I just starting taking shots every minute or so.
Hi Josef, Thanks for coming. I am honored to be "set as background". Thank you.
Snap! I'm looking at a very similar sky out of my window right now. The sun has just set leaving pale gold near the horizon with dark, purplish clouds above. I also have sihoutted treetops in my view, but sadly no water. Perhaps it's a sign I should follow your blog - all right then!
Hi Rochelle, It does look peaceful but it was followed by a huge thunderstorm.
When I am Rich, Hope you don't get the storm just the colors. Sometimes wish I had the lake again but now the view is mountains which are relly great also. Welcome aboard, SQ

Grew up in a small Georgia town with a desire to see some of the places I had read about and many I had not. I moved to Alaska and lived there for about ten years. My jobs took me to many parts of the state including Barrow, Nome, Kodiak Island and many more. I have also lived in California, Oregon and now Washington state.
Let this be the story of the journey so far.

This is absolutely beautifull. Makes me want to move out of the city. I am jealous.
THAT is beautiful!!! How in the world did you get a shot like that!
Nice photograph...
