Harbor at Seward, Alaska

Seward, Alaska is located on the Kenai Peninsula. The harbor if filled with both fishing and tour boats.

Resurrection Bay and nearby waters offer majestic glaciers and an abundance of wildlife. Nature has shaped islands, fjords, and pristine coves along the mountainous coastline. Visit Kenai Fjords National Park, one of the great beauties of America's national park system. Shorter tours of the waters closer to home offer sea lion sightings and rookeries. You will see colorful puffins and curious otters , maybe even a Humpback or Killer Whale (Orca).

Oh dear, now you did it! This is a dream place to go for us: my husband- misses the fishing and water (grew up in a small Welsh cost town); me: the mountains. My hubby just joined me to see your images and he's ready to go and live in Alaska :-) If it was that simple I would be packing today lol.

Libertine,
There are some many of these lovely little fishing towns in Alaska, Seward, Homer and Kodiak Island are my favorites.
So if I post more photos for your husband to see we might lure you to the US?

Seeing a whale in the wild is very near the top of my Wish List. I'm saving my pennies!

Hi When I am Rich,
It is an incredible sight, I wish the Orca photos I took had turned out better. Really bad weather, rough ocean did not make for the best shots.
